Maureen Ahern & Paul Cooper – September Featured Artists

Opening Reception Friday, September 2, 5-7pm

Paintings by Maureen Ahern and sculptures by Paul Cooper will be featured at the Dublin Community Center during the month of September. The Opening Reception will be on Friday, September 2, from 5 to 7pm. 

Maureen Ahern, got her BFA from UMass Amherst and her MA in painting from SUNY Albany. Her artwork focuses on the natural world, using reflective materials, acrylics and interference paint. As the viewer moves in front of the work, the image changes its appearance. The effect of the interference paint is shown on her webpage: ahernartist.com. Today, living in Dublin NH she continues creating art and experimenting with various media in her unique pieces. 

Paul Cooper is a sculptor living in Dublin since 2014. His work is primarily in wood and metal. He has a BA from Benington College and an MA from Goddard College He has taught at UMass Boston Continuing Ed., Goddard College, University of Iowa and Keene State College. Residence fellowships include MacDowell Art Colony Peterborough NH, Yaddo Saratoga Springs NY and The Millay Colony Austerlitz NY.
